This workshop is designed to introduce the NIST Research Data Framework (RDaF) to both individuals and organizations by giving a thorough overview of the framework, exploring current implementations and having hands-on time to work through implementation exercises with others. Implementations from a large state university system and a federal government agency will be examined; hands-on activities will include developing profiles for participant roles, exploring using the RDaF as the basis of a scorecard review and gap analysis. The workshop will focus on topics key to success in RDM such as lifecycle management, benefits of data sharing, and the risks of poorly managing data.
