CHORUS Events

This joint JST/CHORUS Forum will explore the many paths available for researchers to publish their work openly under the new immediate open access policy and the connection between the various outputs. Journals have different open access models in both fully open access and hybrid journals, and there are emerging models such as subscribe to open (S2O). Publishers and libraries are working together to develop read and publish (or transformative) agreements to allow open access publication of articles. For immediate posting of research results, preprint servers are available, there are increasing requirements to deposit data in institutional and subject based repositories, and article versions can be made available depending on the policies of the journal that is publishing their research.

The librarians and publishers at this seminar have been invited to discuss the many challenges faced by the research community, the models available for open access and the relationship between them and the citation and use of the various research outputs, including preprints, manuscripts, published articles (or versions of record), along with the deposit of research data.
