CrossRef announced a new update to its FundRef Registry this week on June 25th.

“747 new funders have been added, bringing the total funder count in the Registry to 7,333 [worldwide]. A full version history can be found on the FundRef Registry page.”

Get Funders API

You can use CrossRef’s Get Funders API to see which funders have been added to the registry and assigned IDs.

Funding data with no IDs will not appear in CHORUS Search or the CHORUS dashboards. It is therefore important that publishers and their service providers periodically check for new funders and re-deposit incomplete funding information.
