CHORUS announced an agreement with the National Science Foundation (NSF), as part of the agency’s continued commitment to expand public access to the results of its funded research.
CHORUS Signs Agreement With USGS to Collaborate for Advancing Public Access to Research
CHORUS announced an agreement with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), a science agency for the US Department of the Interior, to work together to implement the plan to increase public access to publications resulting from research funded by USGS.
Elsevier manuscripts of DOE-funded research now available open access
Elsevier will make almost 4,000 of these manuscripts available on ScienceDirect each year as part of CHORUS. Read more about it in a story on Elsevier Connect.

AIP Publishing Makes Research Publicly Available via CHORUS
AIP Publishing announced that from this month federally funded research articles it publishes in its journals will begin to be made publicly available through CHORUS. Over the next twelve months, AIP Publishing will make over 900 government funded articles freely available to the public via CHORUS, helping the U.S. government expand access to research funded by the American public.
The Optical Society Launches CHORUS
The Optical Society announced that the first wave of federally funded research articles from OSA will be made available today—exactly 12 months after the Department of Energy (DOE) implemented its public access policy. OSA is the second publisher to fully implement CHORUS.
August Progress Report
Summer 2015 has been busy for CHORUS, as we continue to gain momentum by signing on more funders, partners, and members. On August 18th the Smithsonian Institution released their Public Access Plan, naming CHORUS as an integral part of their solution.
