Institutions in Japan are expected to understand how they will monitor and report on their compliance with the new open science policy. Many institutions are following the ‘Green through Gold’ route whereby they will populate their IRs with accepted manuscripts for all their researchers. Following the joint JST/CHORUS Forum at the Japan Library Fair, CHORUS has prepared the following Guidance for institutions on a number of ways in which this can be achieved.
